1. Who you are agreeing with
Sinaps is an independent study platform for students at any institution and for independent study. Sinaps is operated from Chișinău, Republic of Moldova. A Moldovan company is being registered; these documents will be updated with its registered name and address once it is.
Sinaps is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any university, faculty, or examining or licensing body. Nothing here is an official course resource.
By creating an account you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not create an account. Questions: hello@sinaps.md.
2. Your account
You need an account to use Sinaps, including to open public quizzes, lessons and files. Give an email address you actually control, and keep your password to yourself.
An account belongs to one person. Sharing an account, or your credentials, is not allowed. During the free beta we count the devices you sign in from but do not restrict them; once the service is paid, an account may be limited to a small number of devices, and we will tell you the number before that starts.
You must be old enough to hold an account under the law where you live. Sinaps is built for students.
3. The beta
Sinaps is free for everyone from 1 September 2026 to 31 October 2026. During that period it is explicitly a beta: features change, content is incomplete, and the service may be unavailable without notice.
We do not promise any level of availability, and we may change or remove features during the beta. If we decide to start charging, we will say so clearly before it applies to you, and you will never be charged automatically for something you signed up to while it was free.
4. What you may do with the content
Lessons, questions, and simulations on Sinaps are licensed to you for your own study, for as long as your account is active. That licence is personal and cannot be transferred.
You may not republish, sell, or redistribute the content; scrape it, or extract it in bulk by any automated means; or use it to build a competing service or to train a machine-learning model.
We apply rate limits designed to stop bulk extraction, not to stop studying. If a limit gets in the way of ordinary use, tell us and we will fix it.
5. Material you send us
You can upload your own study materials, such as lecture notes, summaries and revision work, and use them to create lessons and questions. Do not send us examination papers or any material you are not free to share.
You keep ownership of everything you send. You grant us a licence to store it, read it, and create new teaching material from it. That licence lasts as long as the material we derived from it is published.
Your quizzes, lessons and files start private. You choose whether to make each resource public, without an admin publication queue. Public resources can be opened by signed-in users. Publishing a quiz or lesson does not publish its source files. Your personal Subjects remain private.
By sending a file you confirm that you have the right to share it with us and that doing so does not breach anyone else's rights or any confidentiality obligation you are under. Do not send anything containing patient information.
6. Copyright and takedown
Sinaps contains uploaded, authored, imported and AI-assisted study resources. Source records and answer labels describe the available provenance; a resource's owner is not necessarily the author of its original source. Publication does not establish copyright permission, institutional endorsement or factual accuracy.
If you believe something published on Sinaps infringes your rights, write to copyright@sinaps.md with enough detail to identify the material. We will review it promptly and remove anything we cannot justify keeping. We would rather remove first and discuss after.
7. Acceptable use
Do not attempt to gain access to accounts, data, or systems that are not yours; probe or interfere with the security of the service; upload malicious files; or use Sinaps to harass anyone.
If you find a security problem, please report it to us before disclosing it publicly. We will not pursue anyone who reports a genuine issue in good faith and gives us a reasonable chance to fix it.
8. Payment (after the beta)
Sinaps is free during the beta. If paid access starts, it will be sold as a pass covering a defined study period rather than as an automatically renewing subscription.
Payments will be handled by a payment provider acting as merchant of record. That provider, not Sinaps, will be the seller on your receipt and will handle tax. Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.
9. Suspension and closing your account
You can close your account from your account page or by writing to us. If you have published quizzes, lessons or files, make them private first or contact us to discuss how to handle the shared content. Once your account is closed, your personal data is deleted as described in the Privacy Notice.
We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms — in particular one being shared, or being used to extract content in bulk. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will warn you first.
10. No warranty, and the limits of our liability
Sinaps is educational material, provided as it is. We do not warrant that the content is complete, current, or free of error, or that using it will produce any particular exam result.
Sinaps is not medical advice and must not be used to make clinical decisions. See the Medical Education Disclaimer.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost study time, or for exam outcomes. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change materially affects your rights, we will tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use Sinaps after that means you accept the updated terms.
12. Governing law and language
These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Moldova, and the courts of Moldova have jurisdiction. If you use Sinaps as a consumer in another country, this does not remove protections you have under the mandatory law of the country you live in.
These documents are published in Romanian, English, Russian and French so you can read them in your own language. The English version is the one that governs: if a translation and the English differ, the English text applies. Tell us if you spot a translation that reads wrong and we will correct it.
